Robert Mazibuko, former member of the National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha'is of South Africa and translator of the Kitab-i-Iqan into the Xhosa language, tells the story of his youth in a rapidly-changing Africa.  The era of apartheid in South Africa forms a counterpoint to his spiritual growth and maturity in the Faith, as the strictures of colonialism give way to a more unified vision of the world.  Along the way we meet familiar names:  Emeric and Rosemary Sala and Michael Sears among them, as well as others equally important to the establishment of the Faith in South Africa, but whose names have been unknown in the West until now.
